General Director attends A.N.A.M. Executive Forum Annual Conference
 
The Association of North American Missions held their annual Executive Forum conference in Chicago, IL last week, April 18th-20th. Tom Broderick represented AMOC at the conference. The conference was held at the beautiful and new Awana International and Rorheim Training Institute headquarters in Streamwood, IL (a suburb of Chicago). The theme of the conference was "21st Century Missions in North America".

Workshops and seminars were pinpointed for Mission Executives in order to equip and give practical and up to date help for us to serve our missions in the 21st Century. Some of the workshops were: "Successful 21st Century Board Relationships" by Rev. Bill Dillon of Inner City Impact; "Factors Impacting North American Ministry/Missions in the 21st Century", by Dr. Marvin Newell of Moody Graduate school. "Successfully Recruiting Today's Generation" by Peter Slayton; "How to Stay Fresh and Keep Vision" by Dr. David McCarrell, President of the Pacific Garden Mission; "Leadership Transition - Sucess or Failure?" by Birne Wiley of Missionary Tech Team; "Partnering More Effectively in the 21st Century" by Rev. Jack Eggar, Executive Director of Awana International. Then the icing on the cake was the "Chicago Urban Ministry Tour" by Dr. John Fuder of the Moody Graduate school. These men were top notch and highly qualified in their fields of service.

Some of the ministries that were present at the conference were: American Indian Missions, American Mission for Opening Churches, BCM International, Bible Impact Ministries, Campsite Evangelism, Cedine Ministries, Christian Discipleship Center, Drive-In Churches, Flagstaff Mission to the Navajo, Missionary Gospel Fellowship, Northwest Independent Church Extension, Southwestern School of Missions/Indian Bible College, Missionary Tech Team, Source of Light Mission, United Indian Mission,and Village Missions.
